Customer Help
What buyers usually need to know
The catalogue is built around finished, ready-to-license aerial footage from North Holland. These answers explain how to choose footage, licence it for a project and receive the clean files.
Products
Collections and individual clips
What is an Area Collection?
An Area Collection is a coordinated bundle of finished drone clips from one location. The shots are selected to work together across an edit, normally combining establishing views, environmental context, spatial relationships and complementary transitions.
What is an Individual Clip?
An Individual Clip is one exact finished aerial shot. Its product page shows the watermarked preview, duration, subject, camera movement, technical specifications, price and available licence options.
Should I buy one clip or the complete collection?
Choose one clip when the project needs a precise establishing view, transition or contextual shot. Choose the collection when the edit needs several coordinated views from the same area. Collections are intended to offer a lower total price than purchasing every included clip separately.
How is the catalogue organised?
Browse by North Holland location first, then choose either one exact Individual Clip or a complete Area Collection. Product pages show the exact preview, verified technical details, price and available licence options for the footage being sold.
Previews and Files
What you see and what you receive
Can I review the exact footage before purchase?
Yes. Each product includes a watermarked or compressed preview of the exact shot or collection. The delivered master is clean and unwatermarked.
What technical details are shown?
Product pages state the verified duration, resolution, frame rate, codec, colour treatment, aspect ratio, audio status, filming date and delivery format. A collection also lists every included clip.
Do the files include music or sound?
Aerial footage will normally be delivered without music or production audio unless a product page expressly says otherwise. Buyers are responsible for licensing any music, voiceover or other media added to their final edit.
Are vertical and square versions included?
Only when the product page lists them. A standard horizontal master may normally be cropped or reformatted within the permitted licence, but no guarantee is made that every composition will work equally well in vertical or square formats.
Can I extract still frames from the video?
Still-frame extraction is not included by default. It is permitted only when the product page or a separate written agreement expressly grants that right.
Licensing and Editing
How the footage may be used
Do I own the footage after purchasing?
No. Copyright remains with Pilot Anselmo. The purchase grants the selected usage rights for the named campaign, project, editorial work, production or advertising scope identified by the licence.
Does every product offer the same licences?
No. Licence availability is product-specific. Some footage offers Standard Marketing and Editorial & Entertainment; footage marked Editorial Only is licensed only for defined factual/editorial use. The product page and Gumroad purchase version show the exact rights offered.
What does Editorial Only mean?
Editorial Only is for one named factual/editorial project such as news, journalism, factual documentary or programme, factual publisher content, or educational/cultural factual use. It does not include marketing, advertising, brand or product promotion, sponsored promotional content, fictional entertainment, endorsement or OOH use.
Can I edit, crop or add branding?
Within the licensed use, you may normally trim, crop, resize, reformat and combine the footage with text, logos, licensed music, voiceover and other project media. Editing must not materially misrepresent the location, building, property, access, scale, weather or other material context shown. Editorial Only footage must remain within its factual/editorial scope.
Can I use the footage for business, destination or property marketing?
Yes, where the product offers the Standard Marketing Licence and the footage is used for one named commercial marketing campaign or project. This can include authorised property, agency, development, hospitality, tourism, destination and corporate marketing. There is no separate Property Focus Licence. Editorial Only products cannot be used for marketing.
Can my editor or agency receive the files?
Yes, when they act as your employee or contractor solely for the licensed project. They do not receive an independent right to retain, reuse, resell or add the clean files to a shared media library.
Can the footage be used in a film, documentary or television programme?
Where the product offers Editorial & Entertainment, it may be used in the named factual or fictional audiovisual production and normal official promotion allowed by that licence. A product marked Editorial Only may be suitable for a factual documentary, factual programme or journalistic work, but not fictional entertainment or promotional use. Major broadcaster, studio or platform scope may require a quotation.
Can the footage be used in advertisements or on public screens?
Broadcast advertising, paid streaming advertisements, billboards, transit media, airport displays, cinema advertising and other out-of-home use require an Advertising & OOH Licence or separate written permission.
Can I purchase exclusive rights?
Exclusive, restricted-area, restricted-industry and competitor-limited rights may be available by written quotation. Request them before purchasing because the footage may already have been published or licensed non-exclusively.
Can I resell or upload the clean footage elsewhere?
No. The original files may not be resold, sublicensed, gifted, redistributed, uploaded to another stock library, added to a public download folder or used to create a competing media product.
Locations & Third-Party Rights
Recognisable places, buildings and visible third-party elements
Does licensing area footage mean I represent every visible place or property?
No. Area footage may show recognisable buildings, businesses, homes and other places as part of a wider landscape. A buyer must not imply that a visible third party is its client, property, development, business or endorsement unless the buyer has authority to make that representation.
How does property marketing work now?
There is no separate Property Focus Licence. Normal authorised property marketing can use the Standard Marketing Licence where that licence is offered and the named campaign fits the terms. Special exclusivity, competitor, territory or multi-campaign conditions remain separate written-rights matters.
Does the licence include all third-party rights?
No. Pilot Anselmo grants the copyright and other rights it owns or controls and expressly grants under the selected licence. The footage licence does not automatically grant third-party trademark, architecture, signage, artwork, people, private-information or other rights that Pilot Anselmo does not own or control. The buyer is responsible for any additional permissions required by the intended use where those rights are not expressly granted.
Why might footage be offered as Editorial Only?
Pilot Anselmo may choose not to offer broader promotional or commercial rights for particular footage. Editorial Only gives the buyer a defined factual/editorial route without implying that every visible element carries the same third-party rights position. Use the exact product licence and contact General Enquiry when the planned use is unclear.
Purchase and Delivery
Checkout, access and support
How is the footage delivered?
Gumroad provides digital access after successful payment and any required checkout acknowledgement. Individual Clips deliver one clean master file. Area Collections deliver the listed clips in an organised package.
Which licence applies to my purchase?
The product description, selected product version, Gumroad receipt and Licensing Terms together define the rights granted. The absence of a licence option means that licence is not granted through self-service checkout for that product.
What is the refund policy?
The refund policy shown on the specific Gumroad product applies. Contact Pilot Anselmo promptly with the receipt and a clear explanation if a delivered file is corrupt, inaccessible or materially different from the product description. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
What if the file does not work in my editing software?
Review the listed codec, resolution and frame rate before purchase. When a file is confirmed to be corrupt or inaccessible, Pilot Anselmo will provide a replacement. Software compatibility outside the published specification should be checked by the buyer or editor in advance.
Will licensing the footage guarantee campaign results?
No. The footage is supplied as a creative or editorial asset. No guarantee is made concerning views, enquiries, ranking, distribution acceptance, sales performance or another commercial result.
Coverage Requests
Locations not yet in the library
Can I request a new North Holland area or specific view?
Yes. Submit the North Holland location, intended use, timing and preferred visual context through the Request Coverage form. The request can lead to new library coverage or separately quoted commissioned filming when a specific shoot is required.
Can I request drone coverage outside North Holland?
Yes. North Holland is the main coverage area for the Pilot Anselmo aerial library, but custom shoots elsewhere in the Netherlands can be considered. Send the location, intended use and timing through Request Coverage. Availability and pricing depend on travel, flight feasibility, access, weather and scope.
Does submitting a request guarantee filming?
No. Flight feasibility, permissions, airspace, weather, privacy, location relevance and production scheduling must be reviewed before coverage can be confirmed.
How do I ask a licensing question about footage that already exists?
Use the General Enquiry form. Include the product or location name and describe the intended use clearly.
